I believe in the power of storytelling across a range of mediums. When expressed and shared, I believe our personal stories transform into medicine. Hearing your story heals my spirit, and my hope is that sharing my story supports you.
I believe in the power of mindfulness as a means of touching into freedom, interconnectivity, and love. I practice it on the cushion and in the world.
Nothing lights me up more than bringing a critical lens to culture, moving images, humanity, life.
I lead a spiritual life, and that conception of spirituality is ever evolving.
Currently, I support 8 figure businesses with marketing strategy and implementation, project management as well as online curriculum management.
I’ve lived many lives, though. Prior to discovering marketing, I was a student, teacher, writer, maker and critic. I am still all those things today, in the form of new iterations.
Throughout my 20s, I worked with visual media as a film producer, backpack journalist, activist, teacher (9-12 and college). I studied the shit out of film, tv, new media and culture in USC School of Cinematic Arts’ Critical Studies Masters program. I’ve explored how gamification, digital marketing and celebrity can help amplify the mission of nonprofits and causes. I was part of a think tank wherein I spent some time rethinking 21st century learning and conceptualizing multimedia composition as a viable medium for critical thinking. I’ve practiced bringing documentary tenets into multimedia journalism, accentuating the human condition with powerful storytelling and shiny technology. I’ve played around behind-the-scenes at film festivals and film distribution companies, collecting insight on how movies become the means to understand important issues, raise questions and create community. I’ve helped parents raise their children, activating my inner child in the process.
My roles change, but my goals and interests remain the same.
- To light people up with words and images
- To mobilize people to improve and better understand the complex world in which we live
- To foster the growth of mindful and transformative communities
- To foster personal growth and awareness in service of the larger whole
- To remain ‘here’, in the present moment, while reframing and leveraging the past
My writing and multimedia projects serve as a collective rumination on the human condition at large.
Journey with me into the past and present.
